Corneal-Based Surgery

Corneal-based laser eye surgeries involve using a laser to change the shape of the cornea, the transparent covering of the eye. By changing the shape of the cornea, it can result in improving our vision without glasses or contact lenses.

At Sask Laser, we offer the widest spectrum of corneal-based surgeries with the most state-of-the-art technology in Saskatchewan. We are proud to be the sole provider of SMILE, the latest evolution in laser eye surgery. This revoluntarily procedure is gaining in popularity and has already been performed in over 8 million eyes across the world.

PRK

PRK is a laser vision correction procedure that reshapes the cornea to correct mild to moderate conditions of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. During PRK, the superficial layers of the cornea are removed to allow laser reshaping and vision correction.

LASIK

LASIK is a refractive procedure that reshapes the cornea to correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. The procedure is completely bladeless. Using a laser, a flap is created in the cornea followed by a secondary laser reshaping the cornea to aid in producing clear, sharp vision.

SMILE

SMILE is the latest revolutionary procedure in laser vision correction to treat myopia and astigmatism. Without creating a flap, corneal tissue is removed through a small incision to reshape the cornea and improve vision. SMILE combines the best of both worlds - the fast visual recovery of LASIK with the corneal stability and limited dry eye symptoms of PRK.
